Orbit Resume

Your resume, scored and fixed.

Resume reads your resume the way screening software does, scores it out of 100 and fixes what it finds with you, line by line. It keeps your numbers and never makes one up.

Typing, the ATS score and Word and PDF downloads never use credits.

How it works

From the resume you have to one you can send.

Everything up to the download is free; AI help uses credits only when you ask for it.

  1. Step 1: Import it, or start fresh

Upload a PDF or Word file, or LinkedIn's PDF of your profile, and it's read into sections you can edit. Or start from a template.

  2. Step 2: Score it, then tailor it

Work through the fixes the score shows, then paste a job post to see which of its keywords you cover and make a copy for that job.

  3. Step 3: Download it

Word or PDF, the pages you previewed, as real text screening software reads. Downloads are free, as often as you like.

10 templates

Switch the look. Your words stay put.

Every template is the same resume laid out another way, so you can try them all without retyping a line. The one-column ones read cleanly in screening software.

  • ClassicCentred header, ruled sections. Reads well everywhere.
  • ModernBold name in your colour, clean sections.
  • CompactTighter spacing to fit more on a page.
  • ElegantSerif name, fine double rules. Classic and calm.
  • MinimalNo colour blocks, lots of white space, small grey headings.
  • BoldA band of your colour behind the name. Stands out, still one column.
  • ExecutiveName left, headline in your colour, tinted section bars.
  • CampusSmall-caps headings, tight lines, dates on the right. Fits a fresher's page.
  • HarvardSerif, centred headings, generous space. The classic US style.
  • SidebarTwo columns. Looks great; some ATS read it out of order.

The toolkit

Every tool works from the same resume.

Each one shows you what it changes before anything changes, and you can undo any of it.

  • Fix with AI

Pick a check that failed and the AI rewrites exactly that line or section. You see the change marked, then keep it or undo it.

  • The ATS check

Out of 100, part by part, the same way every time, with the fix for every point it misses.

  • Job-post match

Paste a job post to see its keywords: the ones your resume covers, and the ones it doesn't yet.

  • Cover letters

Written from your resume and the job post, in the tone and length you choose.

  • Interview prep

The questions your resume will get you asked, and the skills the job wants that it doesn't show yet.

Why not just ask a chatbot?

A chatbot gives you text. Resume gives you a resume.

A general chatbot can rewrite a resume well. What it hands back is the words; Resume hands back the finished file, checked.

Questions

Questions people ask first.

Is Resume free?

Writing and editing your resume, its ATS score, and Word and PDF downloads are free. AI actions use AI credits: an import, a tailored copy, a whole-resume rewrite or a cover letter is one credit, and a single AI fix (one check, one section or one line) is a fifth of one. If an AI action fails, its credit comes back.

How is the ATS score worked out?

The same way every time, without AI, so the same resume always gets the same score. It checks eight parts the way screening software reads a resume: contact details, the standard sections, the summary, your experience bullets, skills, readability, an ATS-safe layout and, once you add a job post, the job's keywords. Every missed point comes with its fix.

Will the AI make things up?

No. Rewrites keep your own numbers and never invent one. Where a line needs a figure only you know, it asks you for it, and you see every change before you keep it.

Can I import the resume I already have?

Yes: a PDF or Word file, or the PDF LinkedIn makes of your profile (Save to PDF). It's read into sections you can edit. An import uses one AI credit.

Which template should I pick?

Any of the one-column templates reads cleanly in screening software. Sidebar, the two-column one, looks good, but some systems read it out of order, so the score's layout check flags it.

Can I tailor my resume for each job?

Yes. Paste a job post to see which of its keywords your resume covers and which are missing, then make a copy aimed at that job. Add only the keywords you really have.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Resume works in any modern browser, on a phone or a laptop: edit, see the score and download your resume.
