How it works

From resume to matches in a minute or two.

  1. Step 1: Add your resume

Import the one you have (PDF, Word or LinkedIn's PDF), or make one in Resume. The AI reads it into a search profile you can change.

  2. Step 2: See your matches

Every new job is scored against your profile, best first, with the skills you have and the ones it asks for that you don't show.

  3. Step 3: Apply and keep track

Check your fit, ask for a referral, apply on the company's site, and move each application along your tracker.

The toolkit

Every application, from the post to the offer.

You stay in charge: you apply on the original site, and nothing is sent to an employer for you.

  • The tracker

Saved, applied, interviewing, offer: a board with notes and dates, so no application slips. A card that changes stage is marked where it lands.

  • Straight from the source

Companies' own careers pages and remote job boards that allow it. Every job says where it came from.

  • The Mission room

Each application gets a room of its own: its stage, the next step and the prep for it.

  • Outreach

Referral requests and emails to HR, written from your resume for the job. You send them.

  • Interview day

When an interview is booked, a plan for the days before it, with practice built from the job post.

Where the jobs come from

The original post, every time.

Jobs reads only what's published to be read, and links you to the employer to apply.

Careers pages and open job boards

Companies' own career pages (their Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters job boards), so Apply goes straight to the employer, and remote job boards that allow it: Himalayas, Remote OK, Jobicy. Every job says where it came from and links to the original post.

And the big sites

LinkedIn, Naukri and the other large sites don't allow their listings to be copied, so Orbit doesn't. It opens their own search instead, filled in from your profile:

  • LinkedIn
  • Naukri
  • Indeed
  • Foundit
  • Instahyre
  • Cutshort
  • Hirist
  • Wellfound
  • Internshala
  • Google Jobs

Questions

Questions people ask first.

Something else? Ask the Orbit team.

Where do the jobs come from?

From companies' own careers pages (their Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters job boards) and remote job boards that allow it. Every job says where it came from, and Apply opens the original post.

Does Jobs copy LinkedIn or Naukri listings?

No. LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed and the other large sites don't allow their listings to be copied, so Jobs opens their own search instead, filled in from your profile.

How is the match worked out?

Every job is scored against your search profile: the titles, skills, experience and city read from your resume, which you can change. Each match shows the skills you have and the ones the job asks for that your resume doesn't show.

How fresh are the jobs?

Companies' job boards are read again every few hours while people are using Jobs, and posts older than 30 days are dropped.

Does Orbit apply for me?

No. You apply on the employer's own site, and nothing is sent to an employer for you. The tracker keeps each application's stage, notes and dates.

What is the Mission room?

Each application you track gets a room of its own: its stage, the next step, a prep plan for the interview, and practice built from the job post.

What's free?

Browsing, matching and the tracker never use credits, and a few AI fit checks a day are free. Outreach messages use resume credits.
