How it works

From your profile to the fixes, in a few minutes.

  1. Step 1: Save your profile as a PDF

    On LinkedIn's desktop site: Resources (or More) under your name, then Save to PDF. Upload it, or paste the profile's text instead.

  2. Step 2: See the score and the fixes

    Each section's points, and the fixes that raise the score most, first. Pick the role you want so the keywords are that role's.

  3. Step 3: Paste them into LinkedIn

    Copy a fix, paste it where the steps say, and tick Done on LinkedIn. Orbit never signs in to LinkedIn or changes it.

How does LinkedIn read my profile?

LinkedIn doesn't let other sites read profiles from a link, so you upload the PDF LinkedIn makes of your profile (Save to PDF, on the desktop site), or paste the profile's text. Orbit doesn't keep the file and never signs in to LinkedIn.

How is the score worked out?

Out of 100, section by section, from what the profile itself shows: the headline, the About, your latest roles, skills, the keywords employers ask for, education and the custom URL. What LinkedIn's PDF doesn't carry (Featured, the photo, recommendations, activity) is scored only once Orbit knows it.

Does it change my LinkedIn profile for me?

No. Each fix gives you the text to paste and where it goes; you paste it into LinkedIn yourself and tick Done on LinkedIn.

Will the AI invent results?

No. It writes from your profile and your resume, and a figure it can't find there becomes a placeholder like [X%] for you to fill in before you paste it.

What does it cost?

The score, the search preview and the fixes worked out without AI, such as your skills and the custom URL, are free. An AI fix uses a fifth of a resume credit, and rewriting the headline, About and skills in one go uses one credit.

Is LinkedIn made by LinkedIn?

No. It's part of Orbit and isn't made by or connected to LinkedIn. The search preview is Orbit's own drawing of roughly what a recruiter's search shows.
