# Concentrix interview process and practice questions

Concentrix is a customer-experience company, and much of its hiring is for customer service, technical support and sales roles, alongside technology and analytics jobs. Its careers FAQ says candidates may be invited by email to online assessments covering language, computer skills, customer support and typing; candidates commonly report a spoken-language check for voice roles, a recruiter call and an operations interview after that, sometimes with a short mock customer call.

As candidates commonly report it; it varies by team, level and year. Last reviewed 18 October 2026.

## The interview process

- 1 Online application, walk-in or recruitment drive
- 2 Online assessment for many roles: language, computer skills, customer-support scenarios and typing
- 3 For voice roles, a spoken-language check, often automated and sometimes by phone
- 4 Recruiter or HR interview
- 5 Operations interview, sometimes with a short mock customer call

## What interviewers listen for

- It's about thinking differently
- Our bar is high
- Going beyond WOW!
- Game-changers at the center
- We do the right thing. Always
- We make the right choice
- Always looking for better outcomes
- We are one
- Clear, polite and patient communication
- Listening and empathy with upset customers
- Typing and note-taking accuracy while you talk
- Reliability with attendance, shifts and schedules

## Behavioral questions

### Tell me about a time you calmed down someone who was upset with you or your organisation.

A good answer covers

- Why they were upset, described fairly
- What you said and did: listening first, then a clear next step
- How it ended and what you learned

### Tell me about a time you went beyond what was expected to help someone.

A good answer covers

- What they needed and what the minimum would have been
- The extra you did and why
- How they reacted

### Tell me about a time you followed a rule even though breaking it would have been easier.

A good answer covers

- The rule and why bending it was tempting
- Why you followed it and how you explained that to the other person
- What happened

### What's one thing about how you communicate that you're working to improve?

A good answer covers

- A real habit, such as speaking too fast or interrupting
- An example of when it caused a problem
- What you're doing to improve it

## Role and technical questions

### A customer has called three times about the same problem and is angry. Walk me through how you'd handle the call.

A good answer covers

- Apologising for the repeat calls and letting them explain without interruption
- Checking the account history so they don't repeat everything
- Owning a clear next step and a follow-up, and noting it for the next agent

### Let's role-play: I'm a customer whose internet stopped working this morning. Start the call.

A good answer covers

- A warm greeting, your name and verifying the customer
- Questions to understand the problem, then simple checks in order
- Summarising what you did, the next step and a polite close

### How would you explain resetting a password to someone who isn't comfortable with technology?

A good answer covers

- One step at a time, in plain words, waiting for them to finish each
- Checking what they see on screen instead of assuming
- Patience and reassurance, and confirming it worked at the end

### A customer asks for a refund your policy doesn't allow. What do you say?

A good answer covers

- Acknowledging their frustration before explaining the policy
- Offering what you can do instead, such as a replacement, credit or escalation
- Staying calm and clear without promising what you can't deliver

### For technical support roles: a customer's laptop won't connect to Wi-Fi. What would you check, in order?

A good answer covers

- Simple checks first: Wi-Fi switched on, airplane mode, the right network and password
- Whether other devices connect, to tell a laptop problem from a router problem
- Restarting the router or laptop, forgetting and rejoining the network, then escalating

### How do you keep your notes accurate while talking to a customer and using several screens?

A good answer covers

- Typing key facts as you hear them: name, issue, steps tried
- Using templates or shortcuts the team provides
- Reading the summary back to the customer before closing

### For team lead roles: how would you help an agent whose call quality scores keep dropping?

A good answer covers

- Listening to calls and finding the specific pattern
- A private, supportive conversation and a short plan
- Coaching, follow-up checks and recognising improvement

## Why Concentrix? Fit and HR questions

### Tell me about yourself.

A good answer covers

- Your studies or work so far, briefly
- Any experience dealing with customers or the public, even informal
- Why this role, in under two minutes

### Why do you want to work in customer service, and why Concentrix?

A good answer covers

- What you enjoy about helping people, with an example
- Something specific about Concentrix, such as its training or the kinds of clients it supports
- Where you'd like to grow, such as team lead, quality or training roles

### Are you comfortable with rotational shifts, including nights and weekends?

A good answer covers

- An honest answer, with any real constraint stated clearly
- How you'd manage travel, sleep and routine
- Any past experience with shifts or irregular hours

### Do you have any questions about the role or the training?

A good answer covers

- One or two thoughtful questions, such as how training works or how performance is measured
- Nothing already answered in the job post
- A brief thank-you

## Tips

- Check your email, including spam, after applying: Concentrix's FAQ says assessment invitations arrive by email, and the clock starts once you open a module.
- For voice roles, practise speaking clearly at an even pace; record yourself answering a short question and listen back.
- Practise typing while listening: many roles test typing, and you'll take notes during calls.
- In a mock call, greet, listen, repeat the problem back, give a clear next step and close politely.
- Don't promise a customer what policy doesn't allow; offer what you can do instead.
- For work-from-home roles, check that your internet speed and computer meet the stated requirements before the assessment.

## Practise it out loud
